Taxes Stay Here
“Taxation without representation is tyranny.”
Currently, politicians and officials who are appointed in county-wide elections decide how to spend Navarre tax dollars. As a city, Navarre residents will get to directly choose that more of their taxes be reinvested back into the people of Navarre.
Better Infrastructure
Navarre is in severe need of new infrastructure to combat rampant flooding, make our roads safer, and protect residents from storm damage. City staff can access state and federal funding to improve infrastructure across the area at minimal cost to residents. These improvements could include projects like better storm water management, intersection improvements, and moving power lines underground.
Improved Traffic
Santa Rosa County is too large for the officials in Milton to be able to properly manage the roadways in a place as populated as Navarre. Once incorporated, the City of Navarre will have its own team of planners and engineers who will dedicate their time to designing and managing road improvements across the city. The city will also have access to funding from the state to make our roads better than the county can on its own.
Local Business First
As an unincorporated area, it is too hard for local business owners to run their businesses and it is far too easy for large, out of state businesses to take over. City staff can adjust zoning rules to promote local development, help our small business leaders access grants, and guide local entrepreneurs through the complexities of starting a new business.
Local Partnerships
Navarre has a long history of private organizations working for the betterment of residents. These include historic groups like Holley by the Sea and the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. A city helps multiply the efforts of these groups by partnering with them to provide access to new funding sources, community outreach, and joint planning of future efforts.

Over Development

Military & Veterans
A Navarre Military & Veteran Affairs Council can work directly with military leaders and veterans in the area to prioritize their needs within the city.
